Having opened in 2015, the team at Berber & Q Grillhouse in Haggerston wanted to give the space a light refresh to coincide with the launch of a new menu.
We were brought on board to design and renovate the space; from alterations to the lighting design across the whole restaurant, which gently elevates the dining experience, to new upholstery of the existing timber banquettes, benches, and dining chairs in a palette of aged tan leather, dark coral, and mulberry velvet.
Custom joinery pieces were designed and produced in timber and steel to ensure service and storage issues were solved. We were also asked to consider the styling across the space; sourcing ceramics for the shelves and producing new scenic painted pieces for both the exterior signage and interior walls.
The previously gloomy washrooms were completely renovated in a new colour palette inspired by Marrakesh featuring shades of terracotta, dusty Moroccan rose and Majorelle blue. Custom pigmented concrete basins were created and new wall lights installed alongside a suspended ceiling to conceal the warm dimmable LED.
